The shape of the earring is cut out of copper and then powdered glass, known as enamel, is sifted on top of the copper. This is then placed in a kiln that has been heated to 1450 degrees Fahrenheit (it's hot!). The enamel then fuses to the copper. This process is repeated several times until the desired result is achieved (in my case, usually 3-4 times).
All of my earrings are counter enameled which means the backside of the earrings have been enameled as well.
Handle as glass.
Earrings are made in my tiny studio located in Montana.
